Record deletion via tokenless administrator request
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
CSRF in DedeCMS 5.7 allows remote attackers to delete a custom-form record through an authenticated administrator's browser. The /dede/diy_edit.php handler accepts a cross-origin POST with job=yes, dopost=delete and an attacker-chosen diyid without a CSRF token. An administrator must be logged in and induced to load attacker-controlled content; the demonstrated consequence is deletion of the selected record.
