Free-list modification via forged administrator request
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in DedeCMS 5.7 allows remote attackers to alter free-list settings through an authenticated administrator's browser. The freelist_edit.php endpoint accepts a crafted POST containing the save operation and attacker-controlled free-list parameters without a request-bound CSRF value. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the forged form, and the demonstrated consequence is modification of free-list configuration.
