Script execution via HTML-interpreted title paste
Published Mar 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SurveyJS Survey Creator 1.9.132 and earlier allows attackers to execute script through a pasted form title. The title string editor reads clipboard data as plain text but passes it to document.execCommand with insertHTML, causing markup to be interpreted instead of inserted as text. Exploitation requires a user to paste an attacker-controlled title into the editor; the script runs in the embedding application's browser context and can read or modify page-accessible data.
