Published May 23, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the ProfilePress User Panel widget through 4.15.8 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget attributes. The widget accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization and renders them without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and injected scripts execute in the browser of each user who opens the affected page, enabling page-context data access or actions.
