Remote code execution via unchecked timeZone copy
Published Mar 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC10 16.03.10.13 and 16.03.10.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The fromSetSysTime handler for /goform/SetSysTimeCfg copies an attacker-controlled timeZone value into a fixed-size stack buffer without checking its length. Low-privileged web-management access is required; the overflow can corrupt saved control data, crash the service, or redirect execution.
