Database data access via unfiltered admin identifier
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester PHP Task Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data via a crafted admin_id value. The update-admin.php handler incorporates admin_id into a SQL statement without filtering or validation, enabling time-based query execution. The endpoint is remotely reachable without authentication; database access follows directly, while host takeover requires DBA privileges.
