Authenticated service interruption via unchecked netmask length
Published Mar 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Shenzhen Libituo Technology LBT-T300-mini1 1.2.9 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt router service. The /apply.cgi handler accepts an oversized lan_netmask value without a length restriction before processing it through the start_lan call chain. Access requires HTTP Basic credentials from an adjacent network, and the exact failure mode beyond loss of availability is undisclosed.
