Unauthenticated code execution via traversed upload path
Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Magicflu 7.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through mail/mailupdate.jsp. The endpoint uses messageid as an output path without neutralizing traversal sequences, allowing messagecontent data to be written beneath the web root. No authentication or user interaction is required; an executable server-side file runs with the web application's privileges.
