Stored XSS via executable SVG file upload
Published Mar 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Twenty 0.3.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser through an uploaded SVG file. The Files tab accepts and stores SVG content containing script elements, then serves the file so a browser executes that JavaScript. Exploitation requires a victim to open the uploaded file in a new tab, where the script runs in the application origin with the victim's browser privileges.
