Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in DedeCMS 5.7 allows remote attackers to alter site categories through /dede/catalog_edit.php. The endpoint accepts a state-changing dopost=save POST and updates the arctype record without validating an anti-CSRF token or request origin. Exploitation requires an authorized administrator to submit an attacker-controlled form, after which category names, paths, templates, and related settings can be changed.
