CVE-2024-28404Public exploit

Browser script execution via unsanitized MAC-filter comments

Published Mar 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024

Stored XSS in TOTOLINK X2000R Firmware before 1.0.0-B20231213.1013 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript via a crafted comment. The MAC Filtering Comment field stores an SVG onload payload without neutralization and renders it as executable markup when the page is revisited. Exploitation requires access to the router's management interface and a subsequent visit by another user; code runs in that user's browser under the interface origin.
