CVE-2024-28395Network attack vector

Unauthenticated privilege escalation via unescaped request URI

Published Mar 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

SQL injection in Best-Kit Pop-up / Schedule Popup / Splash window 1.7.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrative access. The prepareHook method lowercases the HTTP request URI and concatenates it into a SQL LIKE expression without pSQL escaping. Guest access to any hooked page is sufficient to read or delete database data and rewrite administrative settings.
