CVE-2024-28340Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated information disclosure via unprotected settings endpoint

Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024

Information disclosure in currentsetting.htm in NETGEAR Orbi CBR40, CBK40, and CBK43 2.5.0.28 allows remote attackers to read device settings. The web management interface serves the hidden currentsetting.htm page without checking authentication and returns firmware, model, region, connection, and feature settings. Network reachability to the router management interface is sufficient; the demonstrated impact is read-only device and configuration disclosure.
