CVE-2024-28184Network attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via attachment fetcher bypass

Published Mar 9, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Information disclosure in Kozea WeasyPrint 61.0 and 61.1 allows remote authenticated users to embed arbitrary files in generated PDFs. Attachment objects created from HTML links, annotations, or PDF options use the default fetcher instead of the document's restrictive custom url_fetcher. An application must render attacker-controlled attachment references; accessible file or URL content is returned inside the resulting PDF.
