CVE-2024-2816Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via forged reboot request

Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Tenda AC15 firmware 15.03.05.18 allows remote attackers to reboot the router through its web interface. The fromSysToolReboot handler at /goform/SysToolReboot accepts a forged browser request and performs the reboot without verifying that the administrator intended it. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator's browser to submit the request, interrupting network service while the device restarts.
