CVE-2024-28151Network attack vector

Controller path-existence disclosure via archived symbolic links

Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Path traversal in Jenkins HTML Publisher Plugin 1.32 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to test controller path existence. The report archival path follows invalid symbolic links in agent report directories and recreates them on the controller instead of excluding them. Item/Configure permission and a crafted report directory are required; the resulting oracle reveals only whether a controller path exists and does not expose file contents.
