Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized data parameter
Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
OS command injection in Image Access Scan2Net before 7.40 allows remote attackers to execute system commands through its web interface. The msg_events.php script passes the HTTP GET data parameter without proper sanitization, so a semicolon can append attacker-chosen commands. No authentication is required; network access to the device is enough, and injected commands run with the privileges of the www-data user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
