Web-session hijacking via unencrypted nginx traffic

Cleartext session handling in Phoenix Contact CHARX SEC-3xxx firmware 1.5.1 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to hijack web sessions. The nginx configuration transmits a logged-in user's session token over an unencrypted connection, allowing interception and replay. Exploitation requires active network interception and an existing logged-in session; the stolen privileges expose only non-sensitive information, but permit serious service interruption.
