Authenticated memory corruption via oversized SSID
Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AC15 firmware 15.03.05.20_multi and 15.03.20_multi allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via Wi-Fi setup. The form_fast_setting_wifi_set function fails to bound the ssid argument before storing it in a stack buffer. A low-privileged management session is required by the CNA assessment; successful exploitation can crash the service or corrupt its process state.
