Code execution via unescaped incident User-Agent
Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
CSV injection in Canarytokens before sha-c595a1f8 allows remote attackers to execute code when an owner opens exported incident history. The get_csv_incident_list method copies the attacker-controlled User-Agent header into a CSV cell without neutralizing spreadsheet formula characters. The attacker must discover and trigger an HTTP Canarytoken, and the owner must export the incident history and open it in a formula-capable reader.
