CVE-2024-28093Public exploit

Root access via default Telnet credentials

Published Mar 26, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024

Incorrect access control in Adtran NetVanta 3120 firmware 18.01.01.00.E allows remote attackers on the LAN to obtain root access. The Telnet network interface is enabled by default and accepts the factory-default password for an account that reaches root-level permissions. LAN reachability is required; successful login permits device configuration, data access, command execution, and service interruption with root authority.
