Stored script execution via User Defined Service
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Stored XSS in Technicolor TC8715D allows remote attackers within Wi-Fi range to execute script through the User Defined Service field. The managed_services_add.asp handler stores unneutralized field input and renders it in the management page, where the browser interprets it as script. An attacker must be within Wi-Fi proximity, and execution requires a victim to click the deletion X; demonstrated consequences include browser-context code execution and information disclosure.
