CVE-2024-28075

SYSTEM code execution via unvalidated JsonSerializationBinder deserialization

Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Deserialization in SolarWinds Access Rights Manager 2023.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through the ARM service. JsonSerializationBinder fails to validate user-supplied data before deserializing it, allowing untrusted objects to drive code execution. Exploitation requires adjacent-network service access; authentication can be bypassed, and resulting code runs as SYSTEM.
