Script execution via unsanitized envelope recipient reflection
Published May 18, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Reflected XSS in Kiteworks Email Protection Gateway 7.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted recipient. EnvelopeOpenServlet inserts the envelopeRecipient value into a meta element's content attribute without sanitizing HTML delimiters. Exploitation requires user interaction with a Registered Envelope flow, and successful script runs in the gateway page's browser context.
