CVE-2024-28060

Code execution via unsafe DLL search path

Published May 28, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025

DLL hijacking in Apiris Kafeo 6.4.4 allows local users to execute arbitrary code when the desktop application is launched. The public advisory does not identify the DLL, executable, or search directory involved; it states only that Kafeo uses an unsafe DLL search path. A low-privileged local user must place a library where Kafeo resolves it and wait for a user to launch the application, after which the code runs in that user's context.
