Authenticated code execution via WiFi filter overflow
Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC15 15.03.05.18 and 15.03.20_multi allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The /goform/addWifiMacFilter handler accepts oversized deviceId and deviceMac request-body values without enforcing the stack-buffer boundary, allowing adjacent stack memory to be overwritten. Access to the authenticated management interface is required; successful exploitation can redirect control flow or crash the web service.
