CVE-2024-28049

Adjacent denial of service via unvalidated firmware input

Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024

Improper input validation in Intel PROSet/Wireless and Killer Wi-Fi firmware before 23.40 allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt service. The firmware fails to validate an undisclosed input received through an adjacent wireless path; Intel has not identified the parser, field, or malformed condition. Exploitation requires no authentication but does require active user interaction, and the reported consequence is limited to service interruption.
