SYSTEM code execution via stale object operation
Published Apr 19, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Use-after-free in WLAvalancheService in Ivanti Avalanche before 6.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as SYSTEM. The TCP 1777 service operates on an object without first validating that the object still exists, permitting access after it is freed. Valid Avalanche credentials and network access to the default service port are required; successful exploitation provides full SYSTEM privileges.
