Unauthenticated SQL execution via whitespace authentication bypass
Published Mar 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
SQL injection in ValvePress WordPress Automatic Plugin 3.92.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary database queries. The public inc/csv.php endpoint treats the unauthenticated user's password as empty, accepts whitespace as a nonempty auth value, and passes the supplied q value to wpdb get_results when an attacker-computable MD5 matches. No account or user interaction is required; arbitrary queries can read or alter the WordPress database, including creating an administrator account.
