Web traffic manipulation via HTTP request smuggling
Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
HTTP request smuggling in TompHTTP Bare Server Node before 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to manipulate proxied web traffic. The published advisory does not identify the request-parsing locus or disclose how conflicting HTTP message boundaries are interpreted. Network access to a deployed server is sufficient and requires no authentication or user interaction; documented consequences include unauthorized traffic disclosure, modification, and service interruption.
