Unauthenticated account registration via suffix domain matching
Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Authentication bypass in Coder affected releases allows remote attackers to register accounts outside the permitted email domains. The OIDC handler uses a case-insensitive suffix test on the entire email address instead of comparing the domain after the final at-sign. Exploitation requires OIDC email-domain restrictions and a public provider that permits attacker-controlled accounts; private providers are not affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
