Browser data access and modification via insufficient encoding
Published Mar 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP WebGUI 7.89 and 7.93 allows remote authenticated users to access and modify browser data. WebGUI fails to sufficiently encode user-controlled input before inserting it into browser-rendered output, allowing script execution in a user's browser. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction; confidentiality and integrity are affected, while availability is not.
