CVE-2024-27901Network attack vector

File compromise via unvalidated paths to file APIs

Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Sep 6, 2024

Directory traversal in SAP Asset Accounting allows remote authenticated users with high privileges to read, modify, or disrupt access to files. The FI-AA-AA-A ABAP component insufficiently validates user-provided path information before passing it to file APIs, permitting traversal outside intended paths. Exploitation requires a high-privilege SAP account; the resulting file access can compromise application confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
