Unauthorized access via weak security-answer validation
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Security misconfiguration in SAP NetWeaver AS Java UME 7.50 allows remote attackers to gain unauthorized access through security answers. The self-registration and profile-modification paths accept newly defined security-answer content without enforcing the required security constraints. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-supplied content and can expose protected data while enabling limited data changes and service interruption.
