Cellular baseband crash via malformed LTE MAC length

Denial of service in the Cellular component of Apple iOS and iPadOS before 18 allows remote attackers to crash the cellular baseband. The baseband mishandles an LTE MAC DL-SCH PDU whose CCCH sub-header length exceeds its actual payload, causing memory corruption and a crash. An attacker must transmit crafted LTE downlink traffic from a rogue or manipulated base station within radio range; the documented consequence is loss of cellular service.
