Unauthenticated settings modification via unchecked REST policy
Published May 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Fluent Forms 5.1.16 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify all plugin settings through a REST API request. The global-settings policy accepts update requests without checking a WordPress capability before writing supplied configuration values. No account or user interaction is required; successful requests can alter every plugin setting exposed by the endpoint.
