Contact disclosure via unrestricted locked-device Siri options
Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Information disclosure in Siri in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 17.5 allows physically proximate attackers to access contacts from the lock screen. On a locked device, Siri offers contact-access options that do not enforce the intended lock-state restriction. Physical possession of an affected iPhone or iPad is required, and the reported consequence is limited to viewing contact information.
