Unauthorized record access via unvalidated transactions
Published Apr 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Authorization bypass in Claris FileMaker Server before 20.3.2 allows remote attackers to read records in hosted databases. The CORBA transaction flow continues database operations after a client-controlled proxy substitutes successful phase-two and phase-three replies for server errors. Only network access to the FileMaker service is required; the disclosed path enumerates database and user indexes before opening records without credentials.
