Unauthorized operations via reusable expired session tokens
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in Fortinet FortiAIOps 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to perform unauthorized operations with stolen tokens. The GUI accepts old session tokens after their expected invalidation and authorizes crafted requests against protected operations. Exploitation requires a previously stolen token and can expose or alter protected data or interrupt service within that token's authority.
