Unauthenticated access to PLC control functions
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper authentication in Unitronics UniLogic before 1.35.227 allows remote attackers to bypass access controls on UniStream PLCs. The public CNA, vendor, and researcher materials do not disclose the faulty authentication operation or request that triggers the bypass. Reachability requires network access to a PLC management interface, which is not Internet-exposed by default; full control or code execution requires chaining separate flaws.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
