Stored script execution via unsafe form settings
Published May 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Fluent Forms 5.1.13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through form settings. The settings update path persists attacker-controlled markup without sufficient sanitization, and page rendering returns it without output escaping. Access to Fluent Forms settings is required; when an injected page is viewed, the script runs in the visitor's browser context and can read or alter page data.
