Router crash via null-pointer dereference
Published Feb 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Null-pointer dereference in sub_4484A8 in D-Link DIR-823G A1 1.0.2B05 allows adjacent attackers to crash the router. The routine dereferences a null pointer while processing crafted input, but the public report does not identify the request field or protocol supplying it. Reachability requires adjacent-network access; successful triggering interrupts routing service, with no reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
