Local code execution via unescaped output filename

Command injection in dcm2niix before 1.0.20240202 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through crafted output filenames. On Unix-like systems, compression handling passes the generated filename to a shell-backed system call without escaping shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires local influence over the output filename and use of an affected compression path, and commands run with the converter process's privileges.
