Stored XSS via unsanitized directory names
Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Stored XSS in the CMS Made Simple 2.2.19 File Manager allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The admin panel stores a crafted New directory value without adequate sanitization and later renders the directory name as active page content. File Manager administrator privileges and a second user's interaction are required, exposing that user's CMS session data and actions without affecting service availability.
