Administrative PHP code execution via User Defined Tags
Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
Code injection in CMS Made Simple 2.2.19 and 2.2.21 allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to execute PHP. The User Defined Tags editor accepts PHP in its Code field, and the Run action evaluates the saved tag without neutralizing executable input. An administrator session and access to the User Defined Tags editor are required; successful execution runs with the web server process's privileges.
