Service interruption via unchecked ApCliSsid copy
Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024
A stack overflow in the Rc program of LBT-T300-T390 Firmware 2.2.1.8 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt router service via POST. The makeCurRemoteApList function passes the nvram_get value for ApCliSsid directly to strcpy without validating its length before copying it into a stack buffer. The published request reaches /apply.cgi with HTTP Basic credentials, and the documented consequence is limited to service interruption.
