CVE-2024-27568Public exploit

Router crash via overlong APN name

Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in LBT-T300-T390 Firmware 2.2.1.8 allows attackers to crash the router with a crafted POST request. The setupEC20Apn function obtains an overlong apn_name_3g value through NVRAM_GET and places it in a stack variable after only client-side length validation. The published request targets the local management interface and includes HTTP Basic credentials; a successful overflow interrupts router service.
