CVE-2024-27558Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized blog title

Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in Codelyfe Stupid Simple CMS 1.2.4 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted blog title. The admin/save_settings.php handler assigns the site-title POST value directly to the title element in site-settings.xml, and public pages render the stored title without HTML neutralization. No authentication is required, but a visitor must load a page bearing the stored title; the script then runs in the site's browser origin and can read or alter accessible page data.
