Authenticated code execution via FAQ search templates
Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Server-side template injection in Live Helper Chat before 4.34 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through FAQ search. The FAQ widget and online-user search templates stripped HTML tags but retained double-brace expressions in template-bound values. A low-permission account can reach the affected administrative search surface, enabling server-side code execution and sensitive-data access.
