Stored XSS via disguised PNG review upload
Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 11, 2025
Stored XSS in Bagisto 1.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser through a review image. The product-review API stores an HTML document carrying a .png filename without verifying that its content is an image, then makes the upload directly retrievable. A customer account must submit the review, and script execution occurs only after an administrator opens the uploaded image in a browser tab.
